Sunshine Yellow Inspiron - Fade/Streak Impossible to Clean/Repair - Help!

Question

I got my Dell Inspiron 1520 in the sunshine yellow color at the beginning of January.  I take good care of it, but within 6 weeks it started fading and revealing the black streaks underneath the color. At first I thought it was because it was rubbing against my laptop bag, where it fits very snug.  Some people thought maybe the inside of the bag was 'creating' the black streaks on TOP of the yellow, but gently rubbing it with a damp cloth, or anything else, yields NO improvement. I'm so frustrated with this and wonder if Dell would consider 'repainting' it since it's such a recent purchase, even for a fee?  I bought this specifically for the color and am very disappointed about this. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I know that if you have loose LCD hinges after tyring to tighen them the LCD topcover will be replaced.  Are you sure you have tight hinges? :)

Maybe if I knew what LCD hinges were... LOL

I've got class for the next two weeks, but it's probably something I'd have to send in to get replaced and not get back for a while, right...?
