Follow these steps: 1. Exit all Office programs. 2. Vista - Click Start , type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
XP - Start, Run, type regedit and click OK 3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data 4. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes. 5. Exit Registry Editor. 6. Restart Word.
I have the same problem on a Dell Inspiron, bought at the end of last year and running Windows 7. It is not just on WORD and it only works 25% of the time. Is there a Windows 7 solution. The above solution sounds a bit drastic!
