latitude d600 bios won't store 'video expansion' setting

Question

every time i go into bios setting, i can change 'video expansion' to Enabled. however when XP starts, it turns it back to disabled, and next time i boot it's disabled.   how is windows controlling the bios like that?   how can i make windows not turn it off?   how can i make the bios store the setting permanently?

It's a video driver issue.   Go HERE and scroll to the bottom of the web page for the solutions.
