I have already tried one other adapter, and recieved the same results. But, I was playing around with the brightness controls and when it reached about 80% brightness, the backlight went out, and since the brightness goes all the way up when I plug it in, it will do the same. Can I make the brightness not go up when I plug in the power cord?
Okay I just made the brightness be less when I plug in the power cord and everything seems to be working fine, i just can't turn up the brightness display...:smileyindifferent:

Try a new adapter. If it does the same, the system board is faulty.

It may be an inverter problem - but sounds more like a mainboard fault.
