Inspiron E1505 recognizes wifi but will not connect

Question

I have just installed a D Link DIR-655 router and my Inspiron E1505 con recognize the network but will not connect. Has a WPA key. The wireless is controlled by the dell LAN card not windows.

Did you enter the correct WPA key?  Will it connect if you temporarily disable the WPA encryption?   Steve
