Yes it will fit however:The card for the 1710 has 2 heatpipes, and the E1705 only has 1.So you will have to do a mod on the case to get the second pipe to fit.Since you don't have a warranty this should not be a problem.Just use a pair of pliers to break down the piece of case on the side where the second pipe will go,about a quarter inch.Make sure you fit the card and the case will close before actually closing it up and trying to start it.
If you are going to get a dual pipe card and do the mod on the case anyway, why not get the 7950GTX 512mb?...
Thanks for the info. I'll look into getting the GTX instead- I think that whatever I end up getting, I'm going to go with a card that has 2 heatpipes because I dont want another card to die so quickly
Would I need to purchase that brick if I didn't go for that graphics card model? I'm thinking of going the Quadro Fx2500 512 MB card route because it's a bit cheaper. Would this work fine with the current brick that comes with the e1705?
Sorry for so many questions..but is this the item you're talking about? I don't need to do any mods/replace anything internally? Just plug this in and I'm good to go? Just want to make sure I do it right.
Yes you will still need it for the quadro 512mb.If you decide to go either 7900gs or go 7800 256mb cards you can use the 90 watt you have. But anything higher the 130 is needed.

That is no problem that is what the forum is here for.
Yes that is the power brick you will need.
If you get the video card with 2 pipes on it you will have to mod the inside of the case.
