You can try doing a system restore on a earlier date. System restore will revert the system settings to an earlier date when the laptop was working fine.
If you have windows XP operating system
Then Click on Start ->Go to all programs -> go to Accessories -> Click System Tools -> Click on system restore.
It will open the system restore window the option that will be checked by default will be restore computer to an earlier date. Click on next, from the calendar select a date in bold earlier then the day you uninstalled that program. And just click next and proceed further with the system restore. Note system restore only reverts the changes you have made to your system it wont delete any data.
If you have windows Vista operating system
Click on start -> in start search type in "system restore"
On the top it will show you system restore click on it. The system restore windows will take 1 or 2 minutes to come up so be patient. On system restore window it will have options recommended restore point and choose a different restore point click on choose a different restore point click next. From the list select the date earlier then the date when you uninstalled that program and proceed further with the system restore wizard.
If you dont see any date older then that, then look at the bottom of the list there will be a check box that says show restore point earlier then 5 days. click on the check box and you will see some more dates select one of them and then proceed further with the system restore wizard.
