I do see it, so does that mean Dell will provide software support? and i already have the disk after a lot of hassle with Dell. also is it possible to get a copy of the policy so if Tech Support refuse support you have something to tell them that they have to support it.

hbk123,

No... Dell is not going to retroactively send out Vista 64bit DVDs to all who purchased 32bit Vista. You can contact Technical Support and they should the DVD to you.

* Go to the Drivers and Downloads page
* Choose your PC model
* In the operating system drop down, if you see Vista 64bit, then we support it. If you don't, your on your own

hbk123,

Yes. Not a copy, no. It is an internal document.

Hi, my XPS 420 is supported by Dell for 64bit Windows

Vista.

Does this mean I can request a 64bit Windows DVD from Dell for free? I live in the UK.

Thanks, Paul

* Let me clarify. We will only provide operating system and driver support for Dell installed hardware. We will not provide support for 3rd party software or hardware.
