Cartridge Incorrect

Question

On my 922 printer, I recently replaced the black ink cartridge.  The printer worked fine for a few weeks, but suddenly for one print job I receive the error message 'left cartridge incorrect'.  I have taken the cartridge out and cleaned it, and have also unplugged/disconnected it several times, yet the error message won't go away and it can't print.

Is this ink caretridge a Dell Series 5 ink cartridge? If not, then you have the wrong cartridge. Dell Series 5 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.

Dell Series 5 ink cartridges can br purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.

If you purchased your ink cartridge at one of these locations, the concact them for a replacement cartridge.

The cartridge is a series 5.
