9-cell all the way. The 6cell is flush with the base and makes it flat which is good for storage but the 9-cell sticks out and acts as a little stand and is a better angle for actual use and aids cooling. But obviously the main benefit is the extended battery life. Goes from a good 4hrs to an outstanding 6-7hrs (for basic web browsing and word docs).
