Hi there! yes they could send you a hard drive with a factory image in it if your computer is under one year old, but try to do this... power on the system, start tapping on f2 on the keyboard to access system setup, go to onboard devices and select usb controllers, set it to No Boot then press enter, press Esc then Save and exit... now when its saved the configuration, try to do the restore again, f8 on startup> repair your computer> next> login to your user acct> select Dell Factory Image restore.... if not try to use the Windows OS disc, insert it on the drive, restart your computer and then press f12 upon startup, select the option for your optical drive CD/DVD drive then proceed with installation.... install it on the c: drive using ntfs, the recovery partition would be the partition for the Factory image.... then just follow the prompts for configuration... Hope it fixes your problem =)

Welcome to the Forum :smileyhappy:
You'll need to "prep" the HD with your MediaDirect disk.
