System voltage low... what does it mean?
Recently when I've booted my Dimension 8400 up, I get two beeps from my computer and a warning that says "System voltage is low. Press F1 to continue, or press F2 to enter setup..."
What is this an indication of? I want to say it's a PSU slowly dying, and all I need is a $109 PSU from PC Power and Cooling. If not, looks like I'm out one computer :(

did you check your cables and make sure they are intact?
make sure all your wires are connected properly. you might have stripped wire, a broken wire or a non connected wire.
WHat is your power supply wattage?
ANy AEM products added?
also, if your power supply is AEM you can try to over clock it and see if that works...

If the error message reads, 'SYSTEM BATTERY VOLTAGE IS LOW. press f1 to continue. press f2 to run setup utility.'
Then try replacing the 3-V CR2032 lithium coin cell, on the motherboard, this can be purchased from a Radio Shack, WalMart, or most pharmacies, etc.

Yes, it does boot fine after pressing F1, but I liken the process to starting a car in a dead cold.
I'll try replacing the little motherboard battery.

I agree with shesagordie,
Especially since it will work fine after replacing the battery, it is unlikely the power supply if it works fine otherwise.
make sure to Flee Power, and update the BIOS in case the system is falsely reporting the error

to clear "Flea power"
1. Disconnect power (pull power cable)
2. press and hold power button for 10 seconds
3. Release power buttons
4. plug cable back in
this will often clear up issues with motherboard components

I replaced the CMOS battery on the mobo with another 3V battery, and now the computer doesn't even start. I press the power button and nothing happens, and yes I did check to make sure I plugged it back in.
My guess, bad power supply?

If no power at all, it probably is (or bad motherboard)
make sure you have not accidentally unplugged something
