Original DVD Decoder software for Latitude D600

I recently bought a D600 through an online auction. When it arrived all data from the hard disk had been totally erased (obviously for security purposes). So I spent some time loading Windows XP Pro and then after connecting to the Internet downloaded all relevant drivers from the Dell Support site and installed them.

The D600 is now operating well, except that I do not have the original DVD decoder software. Is there any way I can get a copy of it? I assume it is Intervideo DVD as there is an update available as a download.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums Graeme :emotion-21:

The program will originally have been supplied on a disc, but since you obviously didn't get any of the original discs, you've probably had it?

You could try requesting 'backup' discs :emotion-55:

But I believe you need to have transferred ownership of the system to yourself, first... for which you need not know quite a few details - including the previous owner's name, and where the system was originally purchased etc.

Thanks for the suggestion - I have actually transferred ownership to myself, so that should not be a problem. However I am currently having some difficulty accessing the form to request the backup disks in Australia. I will keep trying.

Thanks again.
