Oh No!!!!!!

I just ordered a Studio 15 for my son a few days ago and it's supposed to be shipped on the 10th of December.  It's supposed to be a b-day present for him. 

Now, I'm concerned about shipping time.  What's up with the delays?

GOOD LUCK ! ! !. I ordered a red Studio 15 for grandson on October 12th with shipping date of 10/23, on 10/23 shipping changed to 11/3, on 11/3, changed to 11/12, on 11/12 changed to I believed it changed to 11/24, then 12/3, then 12/15 is now up to 12/26. This was basic studio but red with finger print reader nothing else special.

I have to give credit when it's due.  :emotion-1:

I received both Studio 15 "before" the date projected.  The Midnite Blue w/fingerprint came on 12/5 and the Pink w/fingerprint came on 12/9.

Does it have something the do with the colors?  That's what I thought when I got the blue one before the pink.

Hopefully, you will get it soon!

Customer service has said the Studio 15 is built but waiting on battery since 11/3. Think it is bs.

Yeah, that sounds odd.   Especially since I ordered 2 Studio 15 on 11/28 and they were both delivered before 12/9.

I ordered one for my wife on 12/9/08 with it saying ship date being 1/6/09. Only additions to stock studio 15 is some art on the lid and an ATI video card. thought it might be here by christmas but after reading forums I will be grateful if it comes at all. Please repost if you actually get yours on 12/26. at least i will have some hope. I knew i should have bought similarly speced HP at circuit city. they had it in stock.

Does anyone from Dell actually read these posts?  There seems to be no pattern for deliveries as some customers get their orders on time and others wait forever.  If they reschedule my delivery date I WILL cancel the order abd buy elsewhere.

PEOPLE...........WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER ON THIS AND SHOP ELSEWHERE

I eventually had to cancel my Studio 15 order in December, and take a Vostro 1510 instead - was not / am still not happy!! :emotion-39: The only reason I took the Vostro, was that I urgently needed a new laptop from the 1st of Jan, and this was the only one they could guarantee delivery on i.e. within 7 days. I am not satisfied - I wanted a studio 15 and landed up with a Vostro - 2 totally different machines. I've got a good mind to return it come the end of Jan. That's what you get for loyalty.

I tried to cancel mine and they would not let me :(  I'm stuck waiting.  My ship date changed from 4/13 to 4/27 already.  I call and email...get lots of "canned" responses.

I ordered 3/21 and my ship date was  4/13 and now it's 4/27.

I have a similar story on an XPS 16. Orrigionally ordered 10/18. Estimated Delivery Date now 12/8, the third revision. Spent 52 minutes, mostly on hold with customer service but got no real info. Went something like - Why the repeated delays? - Parts availability. What parts? - can't provide that info.  Is the 12/8 date more solid than the previous 2? - No, it is an estimate. Please transfer me to a supervisor. - We are not allowed to do that!  Sent a complaint e-mail to Dell. Plan to cancel order unless I get a prompt and constructive reply
