I'm getting a brand new Latitude XT from DELL. So I'm fine with that. :)
eBay seller said he can exchange it with another one and he will also pay for shippings, but since I can get brand new laptop from DELL, why replace with another refurbished laptop? (Other than that it takes long time for DELL to build me a new laptop :( )
I'm just worried that problem I had is common problem among Latitude XT. (although I couldn't find any posts about this problem)
I did see some driver issues with Latitude XT, but nothing about it running hot or smoking.
Our Company has four XT and they all had issues, one of them the HDD has died, Today was the best, one had a mobo and memory to go bad and we had a tech come in to replace them. Once he replaced them and connected the battery soon after he pushed the power button it began to smoke and catch fire. After he pulled the battery and inspected the pc, he found the case had a melted spot on the case near the touch pad. these XT's are garbage.

Could be - best bet is to return it for a refund.

Nobody is using Latitude XT in this forum??
I wanted to hear some experiences with Latitude XT from other uses about it running hot, but no one is replying to this question.
