I just tried downloading the link you provided and had no problems downloading it. My guess is that you have the correct link for the update. My question is, what version are you trying to update?
I bought a Studio 1535 at Christmas and it came loaded with Dell Media Direct. When I go to the Media Direct "Settings" the "About: says version 4.0639, then when I tried the "Update" becaaus I got a message that updates are quired fro the BD to work properly, so I press the button to use the link but it brings me to blanck internet page that says undable to connect.
So, I'm not sure what version it is, I went to the Dell site to see if I could find the software there - but I couldn'nt, then I went to the CYberlink website - again I couldn't fnd a Media Direct software.
I did notice that there is a Cyberlink Power Cinema 8, available for purchase so maybe I should just upgrade but and bypass all this hassele, however I'm not sure if this will work - that is the blu ray player, sound files, etc. I would appreciate any advice you have to offer
The only thing I can think of to suggest is to right click the link you gave and select "Save Target As" if you are using Internet Explorer or "Save Link As" if you are using Firefox. Once you've done that, just save it to your desktop or download folder and then open the file. Dell Media Direct is fine and all, but there are better media players out there (surprisingly the one that comes with Vista is pretty good, IMO). Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

I also am having problem s with DMD 4.0. It will not play my blu ray disks. After numerous calls to Dell to no avail, I also tried to download DMD 4.7 but got a message box saying that I need a BD PACK 3.5 and the installation aborted. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.
