Please test this - XPS1530 Sleep problem

Hello, can someone help to test this issue? My XPS1530 can not return from sleep state in the following scenarios: When a hard disk password set and if the charger is not connected It goes to sleep state as it should, but when returning it makes a hard reset. The issue does not occur when the hard disk pw disabled, or when a charger connected with HDD pw enabled. I tried to ask dell support to check on a machine, but they dispatched a new HDD and motherboard without testing. So I`m just curious to see if anyone else can recreate this scenario. BIOS: A12, OS: Vista home prem. Remember: hard disk password, not system or setup. Thanks, L.
