If you require replacement CDs for lost or damaged disks, and you live in the U.S., go here:  Dell Replacment Disks.  If you don't live in the U.S., you will need to contact Dell Tech Support for your region and request them.

Edit:  Removed info re Inspiron.  You said right in your message you're running a Latitude!

You can also borrow a Dell Windows installation disk to perform the installation, but it must be the same version that your laptop is licensed to run.  Don't forget to go to the downloads page for your computer to retrieve the drivers you will need before you begin.  The drivers need to begin with the Dell Notebook System Software, followed by the Intel Chipset Driver, then the video, network, sound, modem, and whatever else you have.

mattm11, do you want to try to clean the infection in the meantime?  If so, please post on the Malware Removal Forum and read the instructions HERE

Word of advise, watch your order.  I ordered CD's and didn't realize I was getting charged for the service.  They charged directly to my credit card (recently bought a computer).  I don't remember them giving me a choice about my purchase, I would have chosen carefully at $10.95 a disk and wouldn't have chosen Roxio.  Also, I have the XP service pack 2 already because of my recent computer, so I wouldn't have gotten that one either.  Insult to injury, I haven't been able to download the correct driver for my network adapter and can't figure out if I'm missing a CD or if I'm not installing properly.

ncalcamper:

Are you saying they are charging for disks using this link Jack provided?

http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/en/backupcd_form?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&redirect=1

I have never heard of that happening, and I have used that link myself for the OS disk....

I am thinking you ordered your disks elsewhere, as there is no option to choose disks at that link... Simply fill the form out and Dell will send you the OS disk....

Too late now, but the link provided in this thread is free to get the OS disks...

Hi sorry for the late reply.  I ordered from Dell.  My credit card bill hasn't come in yet, but as far as I can tell, I was charged.  After receiving the disks I checked my online Dell account and was very surprised to see a listing of all the disks that I had received, with a charge of $10.95 for each.  I immediately replied to the email that acknowledged my order asking about the charge.  No reply.  They were quick to reply when I was thanking them for this great service (not knowing there was a charge).  Anyway, I have been totally swamped so haven't had the time to get to the bottom of it.

Here's paste of my online account, personal info removed.  This is directly from the Dell site and I ordered from Dell on the OS replacement system page.
