Many on the web write anything they want, and many are just plain wrong. These machines will run in dual channel mode if the memory modules are all the same or if they have the same characteristics. Believe what the machine tells you.

Dual channel will work so long as the memory is of matching pairs. You can use a utility such as CPU-Z to see that is is dual channel. And as you stated it is listed in your BIOS.

So From this post I understand that you can put more than 2gb of memory in a e1505. It was my understanding that the limit was 2gb.

 Please clarify thanks

You can put in 2 x 2GB giving you a total of 4 GB of RAM but your system will only see 3.30 GB
