Dell Dimension 8250 Windows XP Home

Question

Computer was restored to original manufacture state with Dell Technical support.  After connecting printer or external HD computer does not see devices.  After pluging in or out there is a sound, but devices not listed on My Computer.  Flash memory connected to USB does work, HD and printer do not.   According to DELL tech support  this is a new issue and they trying to  to charge me again. Can someone help me to solve my problem?    Many thanks

Bukowina, * Disconnect the HDD and printer from the PC* Reload this and restart the PC* Reload this and restart the PC* Connect the printer to a rear USB port. What happens?

Next day drivers were available , but unfortunately did not work
