Does anyone have anything more specific to the Inspiron 1525? The guide husky posted is a good guide but the whole just press down on the key once the connectors/retainers are attached thing just doesn't really work with the 1525's connectors, in addition to the pieces pictured being just different enough from the 1525 to matter.

Edit: Ugh, never mind, finally got it through a lot of trial and error of which piece went first and which orientation.

there are plenty of retailers selling replacement laptop keys, you do not have to buy a new keyboard.  A key can be purchased for $4-5 on ebay or you can use laptop-key.com i have used them plenty of times saving my clients plenty of money.  I hope this helps.  Here is a detail key install guide they have posted just for installing keys for the Dell Studio 1525.
