Inspiron 1721 Touchpad scrolling function

Question

Right after the warranty ran out the scrolling function on my touchpad quite working. I have not found anything that tells me how to fix this. I called Dell and they want $75.00 to fix the problem. Does anyone out there know how to fix the scrolling function? Thanks in advance for any and all help in advance.

Did you try looking at the settings by clicking on the touchpad near the clock?

Also try going to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number, then under input devices, download, in your browser, the Touchpad drivers and reinstall them.
