2005FPW powers up, but no display...

Question

So everything's been normal for the last couple of years, but today the 2005FPW decided to just fade to black. I powered it down and back up again, but it only stayed with me for a minute or so before fading away again.  Since then I have yet to revive it, despite heavy bouts of smelling salts, prayer, gnashing of teeth, and glancing blows directed to the sides and back. Things I Have Tried Unsuccessfully: Unplugging and re-plugging the power cord Unplugging and re-pluggin the DVI cord (working from a Macbook Pro) Powering down and then powering up while holding down various and random front panel menu buttons Having Patience Googling for Answers When I plugged it directly into the wall outlet instead of my powerstrip, it looked positive for about a quarter of a second before returning to its new dark look. Is there some way to revive this thing without having to fork over large amounts of cash?
