Screen Issues

Question

Hi... I've never posted anything before so be patient.   I have the Dell Latitude 110L.  For the past couple of days, the screen has been going black, but I can still see the text on screen.  Once I close the top and reopen it, the light on screen comes back on.  Does anyone know what is causing this, and what can I do to fix it?  Thanks :)

Contact an LCD repair specialist and have the backlight changed.
