Well, it could be various forms of malware and spyware or other viruses. So first of all you need a good AND working antivirus and Anti-Spyware. I recommend Avast Anti-Virus for the Virus Protection and Spybot Search And Destroy for the Anti- Spyware. Just do a full scan on each program and see if it catches anything. If that doesn't work, then you probably have a more serious problem.

Thanks for the help, momboom1, but user cannot run .exe files. Even if she could, installing an additional anti-virus without removing Symantec first could create a problem.
