up grade hard drive in 1521

Question

Trying to up grade to a bigger SATA hard drive using CMS products data transfer.  I can make the data transfer OK.  When I put the new drive in the computer all I get is the mouse arrow and a blue screen.  I have tryed to boot with the Vista CD and use repair drive but I see no difference.  Checking support at Dell and CMS FAQ's still doesn't help me at this point.  I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.  Or it just can't be done.

I'd suggest you use Acronis True IMage.

Some imaging programs will not image the whole drive and hidden partitions correctly. And Vista is very sensitive to this.

I think Acronis will get you going.

Thank You SlamX, Using Acronis clone drive, it worked the first time.  It even copied in faster time then CMS products bounce back.
