HERE is the Dell manual but it doesn't say anything about a function indicatior flashing (Pulsing). Since it is new you probably should call Dell support.
Has it done this out of the box? Is it the Menu button that continually flashes? I need the following in a private conversation (Click my name, click Send a Message) -
Name: Email Address: Shipping address: Phone number: PC Service Tag number: Monitor Order number or PC Service Tag number if purchased with a PC: Monitor 20 digit PPID number found on the back on a label or on the slider card on the left rear: Reason: Menu button continually flashes
I received a replacement yesterday. The button pulses too. The replacement has other problems though. It has alot of backlight bleed, has a couple of dead pixels (always black) and two stuck pixels (one red and one green) and the left half of the screen has a pink-ish tint. The very first one I received has one dead pixel.
The first one didn't have the screen tint issue and was a revision A03 unit. This replacement unit has more issues and is a revision A00.
When I called to get the replacement, I asked them to make sure to send one with the latest firmware. They said that replacements always come with the latest firmware since when the order status changes to "In Production" that means the monitor is being built. So I don't understand why I received an A00 as a replacement if they're built when ordered.
Can you please help me with this? I've sent you a message with the requested info..
Good God. Does Dell do any quality assurance / quality control on these monitors before shipping them out?
Got a replacement yesterday. It's a new A02, BUT there's a LARGE cluster of stuck pixels just to the left and bottom of the center of the screen that's actually visible on any light colored background and easily seen from even across the room.. Additionally, there is a stuck pixel near the top right of the screen and one near the bottom right of the screen.
At this point I'd return for a refund, but I'm one day past the 21 day return period. I guess if I get replacements now, they're all going to be refurbished.
How do I reach management w/o having to wait on the phone for hours? Last time I tried to reach a manager, I was on hold for at least an hour a day, transferred at least four times each day, for five days straight.

It has done this out of the box. It's the menu button (the one you press to open the main menu).

Chris, I received the replacement today, but it's REFURBISHED!
There are stickers on the sides of the box that say "REFURBISHED".
I'm still within the 21 day return period. They're supposed to send me a NEW one.

What was the PPID number? Post pictures of the stuck pixels here using a white background and then a black background.

I've already packed it back up and taped up the box. How do I find the PPID on it?

Do you think customer service is going to give me a hard time if I ask for a new one since I'm one day outside of the 21 day return period?
