I will be glad to send a zipped copy of the dos driver that worked for me. Also a copy of the protocol.ini file. I need an email from anyone that would like this information. My address is richard.wright@med.va.gov
Had all kinds of headaches trying to get this thing done right...but something really simple actually worked for me...create the boot disk in Ghost using the default Intel 1000 Pro NDIS driver, then open protocol.ini in A:/NET. In the [nic] section it'll read drivername = e1000$ Change the e to uppercase ( drivername = E1000$ ) and try it again...I know it sounds crazy but it worked for me! After hours of headbanging for a solution, of course...
We are ecperiencing the same difficulties as you and Michelle have. I would greatly appreciate if you could email me those files you have that worked for you. My email is patrick.fitzgerald@hcahealthcare.com
I've got a working Ghost Disk but it's extremely slow and I can't seem to speed it up...I have the latest drivers and I'm working on a 10MB switch but I can't set the NIC to notice that...can someone please assist me...I've read the other post but no one directly mentions how
I suffering from a similar problem and would be grateful if you could send me the drivers and settings. I am suffering in -6 degrees in the frozen north and wouuld like to be back in the UK before I freeze up all together.

Steven,
Below are the possible settings for the protocol.ini for the e1000.dos driver. You will need to try the SpeedDuplex=1 or SpeedDuplex=0 settings.
Droid
; Protocol.Ini section for the Intel(R) PRO/1000 Adapters
DRIVERNAME = E1000$
; NODE = "00D00C123456" ; override the burned in MAC address
; SPEEDDUPLEX = 0 ; 10Mbps half duplex
; = 1 ; 10Mbps full duplex
; = 2 ; 100Mbps half duplex
; = 3 ; 100Mbps full duplex
; SLOT = 7 ; set this for each NIC if using more than one
; CACHEFLUSH = 1 ; set this if doing an unattended installation of
; Windows NT 4.0 using this driver to make the initial
; connection

I have made it work after trying for 4 hours.
Download Intel 1000MT DOS driver from DELL website. Add it as new network card template. It works.
The only mistake I made previously was: I didn't specify "Driver name" in NIC template properties, which should be "E1000$".
Hope this will help you guys out.

Hi All,
This web site has a working fix for Symantec 7.5 Corp, and the intel E1000. The info is down near the bottom.

Anyone else having this issue-
GX260 with Intel 1000mt
I created a Boot Disk created with Ghost 7.5 with drive mapping
will not work with emm386.exe- will not work without it-
driver will load but cannot run tcp or ghost without memory manager?
