You mention backlight, so there's still a faint image of the screen visible at an angle?

I assume the Studio has LED backlight iso a CCFL tube so it's prolly only wiring.

Only strange thing is you mention powering off resolves the problem - without moving the screen when backlight is off?

Start by calling for support - repair is handled per the warranty you purchased with the system.

Theres still a faint image yes

Powering off and back on resolves the issue, once the backlight cuts out thats it. It wont come back on unless i power down and back up, then i have to move the screen around until the light comes on

Thanks for the reply

Ok, assuming a wiring problem, the backlight goes off at a certain angle - the wire is disconnected.

Now powering off in this state - without moving the angle or anything would still have to result in no backlight when restarting?

Have you seen that - powering on without the backlight on?

If the backlight comes on every-time but then goes off till the right angle is there, it's not a disconnected wire right?

Hey, i've been having the exact same problem! whenever the screen is repositioned the backlight turns off which i know because you can just see the content on the screen if the lighting is perfect. However i find that putting the laptop into sleep mode and awakening it solves the problem without the need to move the screen which makes me think it is at least partially a software problem. I'd really appreciate an answer to this because annoyingly the angle which makes the back light fail is the exact angle i would preferably view my laptop at :/
