Agreed.  Considering the multitude of issues that many have encountered and their patience with Dell to resolve them (we hope) it's only fitting that the descriptions should be a little clearer.  Or are they intentionally vague in order to avoid any acknowledgement that certain issues exist?

I was about to post this thread! The only additional information i stumbled upon was this quote below: from the thread "DELL Studio XPS 16 1645 i7 power problem".

@Dell Please provide more information.

I'm here.   I'm confirming what the A06 bios fixes, but from what I understand it is mostly directed at issues with iPhone sync'ing.   There really hasn't been any news to come along since the update we did at the end of last week.   At the time I said it was going to take a bit of time and unfortunately that still holds true.

Brad and I have a conference call tomorrow night with some of the engineers working on this issue to try get more details on where exactly the process is, and hopefully more information that we can share with everyone.

Just to clarify, this thread is not about the issue at hand, but about the level of communication provided about technical fixes.

If you take your car to a dealer / mechanic for a service, they tell you what was fixed when you get it back.

@Todd, thanks for the updates thus far. They're very appreciated.

Anyway, the A08 BIOS update is now realeased and has fixed many issues like random freezing of the laptop. The laptop also produce less heat after updating and improved the performance slightly.
