Try removing and reinstalling the video card driver.

I'm noticing if I remove my VGA cable from the monitor and reattach it loosely, half the time I'll be able to get the native resolution but the screen shakes the entire time from then on. When I restart my computer, the resolution options will revert back to what I listed above and I have to reattach the VGA cable again. I'll unplug and replug again and again while fiddling with the VGA port on the monitor until finally the native resolution pops up.

Could the VGA port on the monitor be defective?

Not likely. Have you reseated the video card in the motherboard slot?

Thank you for helping me out with this, Chris.

I have not reseated the video card. I'm running on a laptop, so I'm not sure about prying it open to do this.

Like I said before, it had been working perfectly until I tried using the VGA-to-DVI adapter and then went back to VGA. My problems started immediately after. So far, my best bet is still just to reattach and wiggle the VGA cord many, many times until I get the shaky native resolution.

So on the monitor end, your moving the cord?

Yes, I've been reattaching and wiggling the cord from the monitor end. I've done it on the laptop end too, but the monitor end is what usually ends up giving me the native resolution occasionally.
