before starting IExplorer open your task manager window(ctrl+alt+del).  Check the programs running before and after.  Kill any programs that start up with IExplorer and see if that does it.  If it does you will need to find those programs and either remove or disable them.

I have no other programs running while running Internet Explorer, when I am not running Internet Explorer I press ctrl/alt/delete and it is running normaly using 6% 12% of my CPU Power and stays stable windows runs good but when I run Internet Explorer it uses 100% of my CPU I know that other people have had this problem and fixed it but it was done by doing some thing to the systery Files and I dont really want to play about with the files can anyone please help me with this problem and give me a few solutions Thanks very much Mark

you need to download SP1 and perhaps some other IE updates from www.windowsupdate.com. I had the same prob. - might as well just update everything!
