Compatibility Problems (Dell Inspiron 580 Win 7) with Coby Model TFDVD2697

Question

I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron Desktop 580 and I am having an issue with displaying the video on my TV monitor; now I know the TV( Coby model TFDVD2697) can handle running a PC image display as my previous Dell worked well with it and I know this Dell works just not when plugged with the TV. Whenever I try to start up, I do see the Dell loading screen, followed by the Windows loading screen but at the point when that finishes I lose all signal and a 'No Signal' message displays. I've also tried changing the display settings on the tower itself/TV and came out with the same result. I'm really at a loss I don't know if it is a compatibility issue or not but it seems that way. I was thinking maybe there were drivers somewhere that may fix the problem, not sure though. Could really use some help/advice.

What specific video card and operating system? What ports on the video card and TV are you using?

Its a NVIDIA GeForce GT220 graphics card; 1GB dedicated video memory for lush images. HDMI output for connection to an HDTV.

Windows 7 Premium OS.

The cable is plugged into the VGA port on my Coby TV(TV is HD if I haven't made that clear), which is the only video port and has worked with a older model dell. As for the Tower, there is no lettering or any kid of label but its blue and a port of the graphics card on the bottom portion of the tower and know its the correct port because like I said I'm using an old screen for now and it works fine.

Ok, the GT220 has three ports:HDMIVGA (blue)DVI-I Dual Link The TV has four ports:HDMIS-VideoComponentComposite You need to run an HDMI cable from the GT220 video card HDMI to the TV HDMI.
