You cannot upgrade the monitor firmware. My guess is that the monitor is polling the video card and not getting a response fast enough and stays in sleep. Try the monitor on another PC with a newer video card and test for the issue.

Hi Chirs-M

I think you misunderstand the problem or I am not clear enough. The Monitor is not coming OUT of sleep mode. It doesn't have problems going to sleep....

What's the warranty for 2408WFP? Is it 1 yr or 3 yr?

Thanks

* Depends on several things. Send me the Dell order number in a private message and I will look the warranty up.

It appears that you solved the issue. The culprit is the video card driver. All you can do is use the older one until we release one after the 6.14.10.5322.

3 months on from the previous message and the faulty drivers are still the ones on the website. After spending a week trying to work out what the problem was on a batch of 760's and 780's I am quite annoyed that Dell haven't removed drivers that they know don't work and that knew this at least 3 months ago!

I downgraded the drivers to version 6.14.10.5284 and it works fine. Why don't Dell put those as the current drivers until some new working one's are released?
