Finding the right Hard Drive for my Inspiron 600m

I have a five year old Inspiron 600m and the hard drive is failing. As I understand it one must obtain a drive with a compatible interface type. Using my service tag Dell recommends this hard drive:

Searching through the catalog I found others with the same interface type (according to the Tech Specs), with more capacity, and at a lower price, like this one: 120 GB 7200 RPM SATA Internal Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive for Dell Inspiron 1420/ 1521 Laptops -- (Even though it says its for the inspiron 1420/1521, it is the same interface type as the former.)

Am I stuck with the first one, or are there other options for me (like the second one).

Thanks

You cannot use a SATA drive.  You must use a PATA (EIDE) drive, 120G or smaller, 2.5" 9.5 mm.

This drive will work fine:

There are no 7200 rpm EIDE drives made now - there were, years ago but they've all been discontinued.  5400 rpm is as fast as you'll find.
