Is there an image on an external monitor?

No, just tried in on a external monitor just says "no signal on it"
If it's clear the system is running but there is no video, it's probably yet another failed nVidia chip. See

Call the out of warranty support number - they should waive the fee when the problem is diagnosed:

Thanks for that, I have tried to contact dell support but it says my warranty has ran out so i can not email them or ring them about my problem, whats the best way to get around this?
