What mouse do I need for the Inspiron 1100?

I can't seem to see a port on the back that would fit the mouse I see online to purchase. It looks like it is the same as the Keyboard port but no port for the cord I see on the mouse. HELP!

The 1100 does not have the traditional Serial, Parallel or PS/2 ports that most 'legacy' mouses and keyboards use.  They have been replaced by the (2) USB ports.  You will either need to get a USB mouse or get a USB PS/2 or USB Serial port adaptor to use the old-style mouse and keyboard connections.  I hope this helps.

This is a pretty good wireless solution, for much less there are USB wired mouse.

Think also about getting a mini USB Hub, compact ones avail from Belkin, TrippLite, Kensington among others.
