Yes there is a way to swap the keys back to original settings. Type Mobility Center in the Start Box to access the Quick set utility and change it from Multimedia to Function Keys. Then you will use the Function key for multimedia. This is an annoying feature that is not very well documented,

If I want to Rename a file I need to press Fn+F2, instead I want to press only F2.
I wan't to invert my function keys on Windows 8. Please help. I'm using Inspiron 14R.
