It doesn't hurt anything to try.  So, you don't use wifi, because that's what I have as the miniPCI card.

not quite. the bluetooth is on a 5 wire cable in a tiny bay by the battery. the mini pci is under the keyboard and has a broadcom 4309 wireless a/b/g chip, which works.

i was asking about bluetooth... not wifi.

just clarifying the question.

Again, what does it hurt to try?????

I am not understanding the hesitancy.

well, because in do not feel like blowing $12 on a no returns item that may not work. if i had one to borrow, then it might be different. i read another d-series model had issues with the bios not detecting the newer chip.

i am seeing places listing it as compatible and others not. anybody have any idea?

besides, is there a real difference between bluetooth 1.2 and 2.0? i would be using bluetooth for internet via my cell phone, cell hone data transfer, and possibly a wireless mouse.
