Integrated Webcam Now Called USB Camera and Not Working

Question

I have a Dell Inspiron 1564, Windows 7 64-bit with an integrated webcam. I've been having problems with the webcam since I bought the laptop in June. I posted before and got a fix for it, but randomly last night the device manager lists the webcam as USB Camera instead of Integrated Webcam. I uninstalled all of the USB controllers and the USB Camera, restarted, and it did not reinstall as Integrated Webcam. I uninstalled and reinstalled Dell Webcam Central and nothing happened.   I have no system restore points to use. I didn't do any updates or anything since last night (I don't even turn my laptop off so it couldn't have been doing anything automatically). Every time I try to use my Webcam, it doesn't even initialize. I get a red circle with a white exclamation point that says, 'Can't start video. Try closing other programs that might be using your webcam.' I have no other programs open that would be using it.   Anyone know what might have happened?

Im having this same problem and would like to know if you found any solution to your problem.  i uninstalled the usb camera but nothing happened..

When you installed Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) did you install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first? If not the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order If you cannot find Windows 7 drivers, then try using the Vista (or XP) 32-bit drivers, for Windows 7 32-bit of the Vista (or XP) 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit and install the drivers in the Compatibility mode

And try Installing Dell Webcam Central

I've done that about a million times ;( That was the fix I was given the first time when the camera wouldn't connect; it solved that problem, but won't solve this one.
