Hi, I recently upgraded my keyboard from a standard one to a backlit one, i have fitted both ribbon cables correctly and the right way up however the backlit features isnt working, just wondered if anyone knew if maybe a driver was needed?
p.s: the keyboard works
Maybe try using the keyboad commands. I think it is Fn+right arrow key.
ive got this same problem and its not fn+right arrow key as there is a button for it and this does not work im still looking for answers i will poast if i find one that works

Hi Chris-1301,
On studio 1555 the keyboard back light shortcut is Fn and the F6.
Also, I recommend installing quickset on the computer. I have provided a link below for quickset for keyboard:
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/studio-15?driverId=DFC1X&osCode=ww1&fileId=27310914273
There are three lighting states that are available in back lit keyboards .Use the Fn and the F6 to toggle between these lighting states.
Please let me know if you have any other queries.
