Laser Printer 1110 won't print

Question

The printer will print a test page but when I try to print from Word or other software the printer sends the print job through the spooler but then disappears. Then the dell printer status window comes up and says to order supplies. The toner graphic in that window shows that the cartridge is 2/3 full, so I bought a new toner cartrige and the same printer status window comes up to order suppies and the toner graphic in that window shows the cartridge is full. I have done the following: 1. Bought a new cartridge 2. Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer 3. Pluged and unpluged the USB cable, the PC reconizes the printer and says it sees it. 4. Tried printing direct and not through the spooler 5. Opened the print Q and watched the print job start then the job disappears 6. The printer shows no error lights but doesn't show it got the job 7. I can get a print from pushing the test print button So can anybody help?

User solved printer issue...?

Printer wouldn't print from Dell 520, so I attached Dell laptop today & installed printer and printer worked from laptop. So I knew the issue probably wasn't the 1110 printer.

The next step I moved the USB printer cable from the back of the 5 USB ports to the front of the Dell 520 and then the printer worked.

So I thought it maybe a power issue from the 5 port USB hardware, so I rearranged other USB cables in back of the Dell 520 and also took off a USB cable for another printer that may have been robbing power to the Dell 1110 laser printer.

The Dell 1110 is working fine from the back USB ports for now...
