Hi Jeetsaini,

Welcome to the Community. Boot into the Bios by pressing F2 at the Dell logo. Move down to wireless and press enter, move to internal bluetooth press enter, make sure its enabled, then move down to Wireless Switch, and make sure its set to WiFi-BT ( wireless and bluetooth ), press esc and then save changes and exit.

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Hi adhi the master,

You would normally see a Bluetooth LED on the laptop which would be ON when the Bluetooth is switched on. (Refer to the attached picture).

You can also open the windows mobility center by pressing Windows+X key and check if Bluetooth is turned on or not.

I own a Dell Inspiron 1564 laptop.  The bluetooth was working at the time of purchase and continued for till about 3 yrs of usage.  Recently it stopped working along with  certain other functions.  I therefore reloaded Windows 7 on the laptop.

After this, I downloaded the driver software for blue tooth from the Dell website.  It says WIDCOMM software installed, however, i am not able to use blue tooth. Please help.
