Did the bios update as well. Led still works but it is working backwards. It will stay fully lit until about 80% charge then it will start to blink then will turn off when completely charged. Anyone else noticed this?
Also some of the Fn key combos stopped working. The disk eject and the brightness controls no longer do anything. Again, has anyone else noticed this other glitch.
Yes I have alos noticed that the a few Fn keys are malfunctioning. This get me thinking too. Does Dell not even test the Bios or do they not care enough to try to fix this problem? I mean come on this is the first Bios upgrade and theres already problems.

Well, I have an early i5150 with original Compal supplied bios ... and I have been awaiting a revised bios, however I will not install A23 ... why have you installed A23 / which problems / issues has A23 corrected? Thanks
The LED in question on my wife's Inspiron 2650 is on even when she's on AC power and the battery is fully charged.
The manual for my 5150 leads me to expect similar behavior ("If the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the [battery] light operates as follows: solid green: the battery is fully charged ...".) But instead in this circumstance the LED is completely off.
Upgrading the BIOS to A23 solved neither the LED issue nor the fact that my system would not resume from a suspend. However, upgrading DirectX does seem to have solved the suspend/resume problem. But the LED has stubbonly retained its manual-contradicting behavior.

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.
Does your battery still charge, and hold a charge?

My Inspiron has the same problems. After the Bios Upgrade no Batery Led and The Fn (some) keys are not working...
Finally,
The CPU is HT capable, but the Bios does not support this feature. My inspiron has 2.5 weeks and i am very disapointed.....

I have the same problem with my Fn+F10 key...cd does not eject. Funny...the dell tech support I talked too didn't even know that the Fn+F10 key did.
Has any tried the A24 BIOS? If so, did it fix the Fn key problems?
