I tried it, but got an error "No compatible hardware found. The software you are attempting to install is not supported in this system. The software will not be installed."
Not sure how much it matters, but under the compatible systems, the link only had Laptops. I am trying to install a PCI-Express card into a Desktop.
That looks like what I have. The thing that bothers me is looking at the "compatibility" button on the right hand side. There aren't very many systems that this is compatible with. I bet Dell did not create a driver for the E310. I may just go to Fry's and pick up a more "generic" wireless card...

Use Google which would have found http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R242906&SystemID=WRK_NBK_PNT_P4_M4300&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=14147&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=8&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=0&libid=5&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&fileid=351393

You're probably mistaken on the model # of the PCI-E card. I can't find such a model.

Here is the driver from the XPS Studio 9000 driver page:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/format.aspx?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh&deviceid=14724&libid=5&releaseid=R205375&vercnt=1&formatcnt=0&SystemID=STUDIOXPS435T&servicetag=&os=WV64&osl=en&catid=-1&dateid=-1&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&impid=-1&checkFormat=true
It calls it "Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card Desktops".
Now I am trying to figure out how to get the driver onto the E310.

Drivers are generally written for OS not for a specific system, but who knows?
