If you are the dell registered owner then contact support  (with your invoice details at hand) and ask for a master password.

I assume you are trying to delete a known bios password.

Try holding down the "Ctrl" key when pressing "enter". Don't know if this applies to your model specifically, but some systems require this to enter a blank in the bios. Worth a shot.

Hi Peakslayer,

I did read your post, and also read that you entered the primary password 3 times and your getting an error beep. So most probably the password is changed or incorrect. Hence you will need to contact Dell Technical support.

Thank you

If you have the master password, enter it.  Then go to the password change field and enter nothing (twice).  Save.  The password is now gone.

Hi Peakslayer,

Welcome to the Community. To remove or change the Bios Password you will need to contact Dell, and verify the original owner of the system, after which they will be able to give you the Bios password so you can remove the existing password.

Thank you

UPDATE: it was running A11 for bios version. I updated it to A12 and it will now let me change/delete the password. How weird. Thanks for the help!
