There is no license key on the disks. Each computer has its own key for Windows on a sticker that's usually on the bottom of the laptop or the back of a desktop. It is a 25 character key with letters and numbers. You can use another Dell XP disk but only if it is the same version of windows--XP Home, Professional or Media Edition. You can get a replacement disk HERE if you live in US. Directions for reinstalling HERE
