upgraded d630 to glossy screen--- still have lines all over screen
I upgraded from the matte screen to a glossy screen.. I was told to change the cable also.. did both... i have vertical lines all over the screen ...the screen is not broken I am aware what pixels that are out look like ... this looks like the video is not correct.. new screen part number is n141c3-l02 and the cable part number is yn941... how can i tell if the cable is bad

Do the lines appear on an external monitor? If they do, the video chip is the problem.
If not, I don't recall Dell ever having shipped the Latitudes with gloss screens - the screen is likely not compatible with the system.
