Unplug the system and remove the battery. Hold the power button for 30 seconds. Try powering up again - is there any image, even a faint one, on the monitor?
No -- there's no way to do that. If the video circuitry is fried, you need a replacement mainboard. Before going that route, which will be reasonably expensive, try an external monitor.
yes i am able to view the laptop on the external monitor. does that mean the screen is broke. i am still un able to vies anything through the hdmi port.
Hi again. thanks for your previous help EJN63 After finally getting my ringer into gear I ordered an inverter and replaced it. This was not too difficult. Though the problem has not been solved. What can I do next if anything at all. Again thankyou very much for your help.

Press FN-F8 to see if you can get the internal screen on.

It could have, if you did so without shutting the power down on the notebook.

Try an external monitor (NOT a TV) with the VGA or DVI connection. Does that show an image?

It is part of the mainboard - not separately replaceable.

It could be many things - unless you have a pro look at it, it's probably time to start swapping parts (start with the inverter).
