You can have hijackthis fix the following.  Close all windows first.  I doubt these has anything to do with a slowdown as you have a clean log.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file) and
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file) - appears to be related to Microsoft Money mnyviewer.dll

Any ideas as to what the slowdown and lockups might be coming from?  I did have HIJACK This fix the two suggested BHO's.  Thank you for the help.

Mikepunkrock, welcome.

Looking at your clean log I can only offer my opinion.

Important: Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Download http://216.180.233.153/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe into this folder.

Memory Managers in WinXP cause more problems than they try to solve. Uninstall MemTurbo. They were good in Win98 and OK in WinME but are not necessary in WinXP.

Start HijackThis and tick the boxes next to all these, then close all browser and explorer windows, and tell HijackThis to "Fix checked" if still present.

O4 - Startup: MemTurbo.lnk = C:\Program Files\MemTurbo\MemTurbo.exe

I would stop this from automatically loading and start only when needed:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Desktop Weather 3] C:\Program Files\The Weather Channel\The Weather Channel.exe

There is an update to Google Toolbar V2.0 that you might want to install.
